Christmas

Winter's come, Christmas's near,
Tonight's the night the tree's brought here;
The crisp snow falls, a cold wind blows,
I've come inside with a bright red nose.
The lamp's are lit, the fire hearth glows -
I sit in front to warm my toes.
The door gapes and snow drifts in -
It's quickly closed - let the fun begin!
Bright baubles, newly bought,
Wink like stars when lights they've caught.
When all's done carols are sung,
And in the church, bells joyful are rung.
Christmas has come, it's early morn,
Today's the day when Christ is born.
