Lakeland

A patchwork of fields together sewn
With hawthorn hedge and drystone wall,
And in amongst them weaves the beck which
Splashes and sings to the waterfall.
And in the distance rise the crags,
Whose summits hide amongst the clouds
Then shyly peek from 'neath their veil
At Lakeland's growing tourist crowds.
